Learn Spanish in the summer: this is what the day camps at Proyecto Español are like.
During the summer months , many families look for quality educational activities for their children that go beyond mere entertainment. In this context, the Spanish camps organized by Proyecto Español in Alicante are presented as an attractive alternative for children and teenagers who wish to improve their language skills in a dynamic and fun environment.
These programs, available between July and August, combine learning Spanish with cultural experiences, themed activities, and methodologies specifically designed for each age group.
City Day Camp Kids
City Day Camp Kids , aimed at children between 6 and 12 years old, is based on a structured curriculum with 120-minute sessions. Each week offers a cultural journey through a different Spanish-speaking country, with activities designed to reinforce the four language skills: listening comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing.
A fun and communicative approach for the little ones
Among the most outstanding activities are role-playing games, travel simulations (where participants “stamp” their passports upon entering a new country), craft workshops related to local culture (for example, the creation of Mexican alebrijes or Colombian carnival masks) and oral presentations where children share what they have learned.
These activities are designed to facilitate the organic acquisition of Spanish as a foreign language, encouraging active participation and real-world use of the language. In addition, visual elements, children’s songs, and stories are introduced to enrich the language immersion experience.
Sessions from Monday to Friday
Each session incorporates a structure that includes a review of prior learning, a cultural introduction, an artistic or musical activity, a fun component, and a moment of reflection or closing, where personal expression in Spanish is promoted.
Social Media Day Camp Teens
For young people aged 12 to 16 , Proyecto Español has developed the Social Media Day Camp Teens , a program focused on the responsible use of Spanish in digital contexts. This camp uses the social media environment as a starting point to develop communication skills in real and current situations.
Teenagers and social networks: a current and motivating learning space
During the sessions, teenagers participate in activities such as creating fictional digital profiles, analyzing and designing stories, producing YouTube-style videos, reading and responding to real comments, and simulating WhatsApp chats. All of this is accompanied by critical reflection on digital interaction, the role of influencers, the phenomenon of trolls, and managing negative comments.
Methodological approach
The methodological approach is entirely participatory . Authentic resources such as real publications, viral videos, memes, and audio recordings are used, and oral and written production is encouraged in group and individual activities. Furthermore, the camp promotes the use of Spanish in a colloquial register adapted to the teenage world, without neglecting linguistic accuracy or the development of formal communication strategies.
One of the program’s strengths is the integration of digital skills with linguistic objectives, allowing students not only to practice the language , but also to develop social skills, critical thinking, and creativity .

Spanish Academy for Foreigners Spanish Project
Proyecto Español is a Spanish language school for foreigners with over 25 years of experience teaching Spanish as a foreign language. Since 1998, students from more than 30 nationalities have passed through its classrooms, guaranteeing an enriching international environment.
Spanish Project Teachers
The teachers in charge hold degrees in Hispanic Philology or related fields, with specific training in teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE) and extensive teaching experience . Furthermore, Proyecto Español is an official DELE examination center, with a success rate exceeding 90%.
Available levels
The camps require no prior knowledge of Spanish, as they are adapted to all levels . The group organization allows us to cater to the specific needs of each student, combining language immersion, cooperative learning, and personal development.
A different kind of summer, without leaving Alicante
These camps take place Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the Proyecto Español headquarters in the center of Alicante . The location is easily accessible and is designed for local families or tourists visiting the city during the summer months.
The programs are available by the week , with flexible registration. Places are limited, so it is recommended to check availability in advance.
